Effective and proven way's to stop bitting your nails

A small proportion of children born develop the habit of biting their nails. It usually starts from sucking the finger, which is considered normal at such tender ages. But this becomes a point of concern when the child continues the habit at greater ages, even up to his/her teen ages and beyond.
Though the child may stop it before adulthood, the risk of getting infections transmitted from the nails and fingers into the mouth is relatively higher. Hence, the need to stop nail-biting habits.
It also has some social implications, and certain teenagers and young adults may want to learn how to stop the habit.
The use of certain cultural methods like you would know of may only help temporarily, but I want to tell you what will ultimately help you or someone close to you overcome that habit.
It's simple, but powerful.
*Learn to cut your nails short: This is best done by use if nail clippers. A straight neatly cut nails never favours nail-biting. This is because your teeth won't be able to get a free strand to pull on. (smiles).
It's funny what the mechanism is but it sure works like magic. Do give it a try and be more socially confident. The long neat fingers also look beautiful. Don't they?
